Activity 1: On your blog tell us whether you think logging should be allowed in New Zealand. Be sure to provide at least two reasons to support your argument.
Work:
I think logging shouldn't be allowed in New Zealand because logging endangers our environment and I go against it. Logging should not take place because animals have their habitat there we are destroying. So I strongly disagree with logging.
My name is Georgia and I am the Cluster Manager for the Kaikohekohe (Northland) Schools. Well done on completing so many of the Summer Learning Journey activities! You have done such an fabulous job.
I really enjoyed reading your opinion on logging. Although logging has some very negative effects on the environment, it is also a valuable resource. Have you heard of the One Billion Trees Programme? The NZ Government has set a goal to plant 1 Billion trees by 2028 to help protect the environment and mitigate climate change. I think this is a great step in the right direction. What do you think?
