Summer Learning Journey - Week 1 Day 1

Task - Activity 2
On Google, research the country that you have chosen to visit and write, in your own words, three interesting facts about that country. They must be facts that weren’t already provided on the World Map.

*In Australia, their population is 24.3 million people.  There are also 6 main cities called Canberra (Capital), Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide.

*Australia is the world's 6th largest country by area. Due to its large size and isolation from the rest of the world, Australia is sometimes known as the 'island continent'.

*The largest cities in Australia are Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. A desert area known as the 'outback' covers much of the land.

  1. Hi Francesca!

Great facts! I can't wait to read more about Australia. Did you know there are lots of snakes in Australia? I wonder if you can find out what people do when they find one in their garden?

    Keep up the good work!

  2. Hi Francesca,

Wow! You have found some great facts. Where did you find them? Do you happen to remember? When we are posting facts we do want to include a link to the website where we found the information.

    Example: http://www.factslides.com/s-Australia

Keep up the good work, Francesca. I can't wait to see what you will learn next about Australia...

See you online again soon, I hope!

    Cheers,
    Rachel :)
