Summer Learning Journey - Week 1 Day 3 / Activity 2

Task-Activity 2

Imagine that you have been asked to create your very own airline. What would you call it? Design a simple logo for your airline and post it on your blog. You must include a short explanation of your logo below the picture.

The 'P&B Airlines' mean Plane & Boat Airlines. You can go in a boat or a plan, it's your choice. The plan travels where ever you want. The boat also travels where ever want, it comes in a 'Cruise ship'.

Summer Learning Journey - Week 1 Day 3

Tack-Activity 1

Now that you have chosen your country it is time to start planning your trip. One of the first things you will need to do is to buy an airplane ticket. There are many, many airlines that fly around the world. Some of the most common are:
Air Canada Air New Zealand
C:\Users\rwil313\Desktop\Air Canada logo.png                                C:\Users\rwil313\Desktop\Air New Zealand image.png

Emirates             Air Asia
C:\Users\rwil313\Desktop\Emirates logo.png                 C:\Users\rwil313\Desktop\Air Asia logo.png
When you get onto the airplane you will be asked to watch a short safety video that tells you how to stay safe when flying in a plane. Arguably, the best aiplane safety videos are produced by Air New Zealand.
Activity 1
Watch both of the current Air New Zealand safety videos. The first is a video that stars the All Blacks. The second is a video that stars Rhys Darby and Anna Faris (Hollywood actress).  Links for the videos are found below:
Air New Zealand Men In Black’ video
Air New ZealandSafety in Hollywood’ video

Once you have finished watching the videos, go to your blog and list three things that you need to do to stay safe on an airplane.
*Clip your set belt pull the side to buckle it tight and if the airplane stop flick the set belt to hop of.
* If a mask from overhead pull it down place it over your moth and nose pull the straps on each side then breath normal.
*Beside your set pull the life jacks and rip the the bag and put it on blow it up.

Task - Activity 1

One of the most popular activities in Madrid, the capital city of Spain, is called ‘Bullfighting.’ It has been a part of Spanish culture for centuries. In bullfighting people called ‘toreros and ‘matadors’ fight with a live bull. The toreros do most of the fighting and, ultimately, capture the bull and tie it up. Once it has been caught, the matador joins the fight and kills the bull. Although most toreros and matadors are men, there are some women who also compete in the sport.
Not everyone supports bullfighting in Spain. In fact, about 30% of the population want it to be banned (stopped) completely. What do you think? On your blog tell us whether or not you think that bullfighting should be banned in Spain. Please provide, at least, two reasons to support your decision.

* I REALLY THINK THAT BULLFIGHTING SHOULD BE BANNED BECAUSE…………
FIRSTLY MEN'S AND WOMAN’S LIFE MATTER, THEY ARE CAUSING THEIR LIFE AWAY, WHAT HAPPENS IF THEIR CHILDREN WON’T HAVE DADS OR MOMS IN THEIR LIFE NO MORE JUST BECAUSE OF BULLFIGHTING.
SECONDLY I REALLY THINK THAT BULLFIGHTING IS A VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE WHAT HAPPENS IF THEY CAN’T HANDLE THE BULL AND THE BULL KILLS HEAPS OF PEOPLE ESPECIALLY CHILDREN WHILE THEY ARE WATCHING!
THIRDLY I REALLY THINK THAT TORTURING THE BULL IS VERY DISGRACEFUL NOT FEELING GUILTY ABOUT A ANIMAL ESPECIAL A BULL IS VERY DISCUSSED!

Summer Learning Journey - Week 1 Day 2

Task - Activity 1

Now that you have chosen your country, it is time to decide where, within your country, you would like to visit. Many tourists will choose to visit the capital city of a country. It is often quite large and full of interesting things to see and do.

Before you go overseas it will be important that you learn a bit about the capital city of your country. Hop online and find out about the capital city of your country. Use this information to complete the five sentences below:

  1. The name of the capital city is Canberra.
  2. The population of the capital city is 356,585.
  3. In January, the weather in the capital city is usually hot.
  4. The capital city is located in the southern (northern, southern, middle) part of the country.
  5. The languages most commonly spoken in the capital city are English.

Summer Learning Journey - Week 1 Day 1

Task - Activity 2
On Google, research the country that you have chosen to visit and write, in your own words, three interesting facts about that country. They must be facts that weren’t already provided on the World Map.

*In Australia, their population is 24.3 million people.  There are also 6 main cities called Canberra (Capital), Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide.

*Australia is the world's 6th largest country by area. Due to its large size and isolation from the rest of the world, Australia is sometimes known as the 'island continent'.

*The largest cities in Australia are Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. A desert area known as the 'outback' covers much of the land.

Summer Learning Journey - Week 1 Day 1

Task - Activity 1
After you have read the quick facts about each place you must choose ONE country that you would like to ‘visit.’ On your blog post the name of the country and tell us why you have chosen to visit it. Please give, at least, two reasons for choosing the country.

I chose Australia because
* Australia is currently the third most popular destination for international students in the English-speaking world, behind the United States and the UK.
*Many international students choose to study there because of the cultural diversity, friendly natives, and high quality of education.

Giant at the playground

Giant  at the playground

One day there was a family that lived in the woods and they were very poor and had no food to eat. There were   two brothers and three sisters. The children always went hunting in order for them to live.  The next day they went to the park and they saw a very big hairy giant walking towards them.  Everyone was screaming and ran home and told their parents about the ugly hairy giant.

Next they had an idea to get the gold from the giant so one of them was distracting the giant by teasing him while the  others were  are digging and collecting the golds. The giant found out and got really furious and angry, he screamed out, “I’m coming to get you all, and I will eat you alive for my dinner.”  The ugly giant didn’t know that they were digging a hole and covered it with leaves so that  he would fall into that hole. So when the giant chased after them he fell in the hole and died.  The children ran home happily and told their parents about the giant and how he died.

At the end, this poor family were so excited and took the gold and bought them  a new house, new vehicle and  there thing.  They became rich and lived happily ever after.Image result for giant childrens

Title: Finding friday

Author: Dale hendry

Today I read about …… Mr rainbow

I feel happy about what I read today because Mr rainbow wants his classroom tidy.

My favourite character was Mr rainbow because Every friday they have to find the missing puzzle and then each group's gets a points each.

I would feel excited if the same thing that happened to my character, happened to me because  i would want to be the little girl.

I think if the author decided to write another part to this story this is what will happen there is going to be a group the will win by getting point.

Title: Symphony under the stars

Author: Cynthia Todd Mcguire

Today I read about Sarah by the age of ten she started playing violins

I feel happy about what I read today because Sarah favourite musical instrument is a violin and she plays it in concert

My favourite character was Sarah because she loves violins like I do and she is good at playing

I would feel excited if the same thing that happened to my character, happened to me because I will play in front of an audience in a concert

I think if the author decided to write another part to this story this is what will happen she became a famous person in the world and start playing her favourite instrument in different countries
