Day 7 - Activity 2

Activity 2: It is very expensive for each of the Paralympic athletes to fly from New Zealand to Rio de Janeiro to compete.  Most athletes have to fundraise in order to make the money that they need to go on the big trip. Recently, Harvey Norman announced that they will be helping to raise funds for the New Zealand Paralympic team. What could you do to help raise funds to support our amazing Paralympic athletes? On your blog, list 2 different ways in which you, your family or friends could raise money to support the athletes.

1) Firstly my family would help out by doing a Garage Sale. We can sell things that we don't use and get money to help out. We got things that are useful for others to use. When they buy it we can have money from them and save up to help out.

2) Secondly my family would help put with a car wash. Each vehicle would be $10 or $20 dollars each comparing to its size. It would help out very well. And at the end we would have a total of money and could help out.

  1. Great ideas, Francesca! I think that you and your family would be able to raise a lot of money to support our Paralympic athletes. They really do struggle to generate enough funding so a garage sale and/or car wash would help them a lot!

I have really enjoyed blogging with you this holiday, Francesca. Your posts are so entertaining and really thoughtful. I hope that you are also very proud of the great work that you have done. Awesome.

I'll look forward to seeing you in a few weeks when I come into Glenbrae to hand out certificates and prizes to the 'Top 3 bloggers.' If you'd like to earn a few more points, please consider completing the bonus activities. You don't have to, it's completely up to you!

    Cheers,
    Rachel :)
