She was hoping for normal birth, but she got unexpected news. She was heartbroken. She cried a lot which made us cry as well.

She went to the theatre crying and praying that everything will go accordingly to how it was planned. She had her baby girl and she was very emotional. She was so brave because this is one of the major surgeries and she took it quite well.

Others are battling addictions, living with mental health issues, or struggling to feed their families.

SLJ - Day 5 - Activity 1: Science, Technology & Invention

Task: For this activity, please think about what you have learned in class about being cyber smart.
On your blog provide five rules that people should follow when sharing pictures and/or streaming videos online.
---------------------------------
In class, the five that have caught my eyes, first and foremost never ever use your full name or give your identity. Secondly, never ever share your address or personal details. Thirdly, never ever talk to strangers. Another point is to make sure they tell a parent or an adult if they are a victim of online abuse. Over-sharing is a common mistake that many people of all ages make on social media. Be selective and smart about what you share.

SLJ - Day 4 - Teaser Week - Activity 3

SLJ - Day 4 -  Activity 3: Mass Migration

Task: For this activity, let’s imagine that Donald Trump called you up and asked for your opinion on this controversial issue.
On your blog, please tell us what you think about his plan to build a wall between the USA and Mexico. Is it a good idea or a bad idea? Why do you think so?

From my perspective I strongly disagree with this wall being built between the United States of America and Mexico. I just think this is awfully rude and racist. It's a waste of time building the wall because he can use that money for those who are in need. Mexican people are walking thousands and thousands of miles just to reach the American border. Mexicans are looking for a life. At their place there are no jobs and that can not support their kids. "We're going to fight. We're going to keep going. We're not going to stop" one of the men that's apart of the group said. They're seeking ways to help out provide for their family. To wrap up my point, it's a bad idea that the president of America is considering this wall to be built because innocent people are involved too.

SLJ - Day 4 - Teaser Week - Activity 2

SLJ - Day 4 - Activity 2: Fighting for freedom

For this activity, please think about an issue you would protest over (non-violently, of course!). On your blog, explain the issue clearly and tell us why it is so important to you.

I would like to protest for the Nicaragua. The Nicaragua protest began on the 18th of April 2018. The protest is located in Nicaragua, Nicaragua is located in North America. In several cities in Nicaragua the protesting began over the social security reforms ordered by president Daniel Ortega that increased taxes and decreased benefits. The people involved with the conflict are the citizens of Nicaragua, politicians and police. This is similar to the Bastion point because the Bastion point had 222 people arrested and in the Nicaragua protest it had 600+ people arrested so both had hundreds of people arrested.

SLJ Day 3 - Teaser Week - Activity 3

SLJ Day 3 - Activity 3: Positive Impact!!

For this activity, please think of someone who has had a positive impact on your life. Who is this person? What did they do that was positive? On your blog, please tell us about this person.

Someone who has had a positive impact in my life is my mother. She has been there through my ups and downs up until now. She has never given up on me even when I'm naughty, I'm thankful for her. My mother impacts on me because I look up to her. She strives to help us improve in our learning. Learning is a big thing for my mum. Every night and morning we have to read a book and summarise about what we've read. This helps us better ourselves in our learning. "Reading is the backbone to everything" she'd always say. These words are true, because you could be good at Math but when it comes to word problems you wouldn't understand.

{Please feel free to drop down in the comments some feedback on what I did good on and what I did bad on}

Thank you!

SLJ - Day 2 - Teaser Week - Activity 2

SLJ - Day 2 - Activity 2: Equal Pay for Equal Work?

I think that the Black Ferns deserve to get paid the same amount as the All Blacks because we are all one. Females should have the equal ease of access to resources and opportunities as All Blacks. This is where gender quality kicks in, meaning that regardless what gender you are we should all be treated the same and fairly. Another point is that Blacks Ferns have courage to play rugby. As we all know rugby is just for boys which is a type of stereotype. But the girls playing for Black Ferns have determination in rugby.

I also think that its understandable how All Blacks are paid more because not only they are more well known, they do more work than the Black Ferns. What I mean by this is that the All Blacks go around the world and they're part of the Rugby World cup. As for Black Ferns they don't do as much. All Blacks is one of our fundamental teams.

Thank you

{yes this is how I feel}

SLJ - Day 1 - Teaser Week - Activity 3

SLJ - Day 1 - Activity 3

Task 3: On your blog, write a character description of the Big Friendly Giant that includes at least 10 descriptive words and a picture that you have drawn of the BFG. You could describe what he looks, smells, and sounds like, and tell your readers all about his personality.

The BFG has a very fun and curious personality but still has a very serious tint to it. He acts as a father-like figure towards Sophie, and is quite nervous around the nine other Giants and is often bullied by them. He is a tremendously big giant , although he doesn't look friendly but hes cool about everything. He also has humongous ears. I'm pretty sure his intestines are big too so it can provide for how big his body is and let everything flow smoothly.

10 descriptive words about him ~
muscular, big, lanky, soaring, white, calm, friendly, bubbly, soft, fluffy.
